(500)daysof(a)bummer

There’s this one scene that sticks: the father hugs his son but the boy starts screaming and hitting his own head. The father apologizes immediately of course. He apologizes for forgetting that his son hates to be touched; for being unable to resist expressing his love; for loving him so much but being unable to let him realize that. He apologizes for loving.

Such pain – to love so deeply and not be loved in return; to have his own child incapable of understanding that love.

Sometimes I think our Father feels that pain – but multiplied by 6 billion.

One of the entries from mel’s 100 words project, it being the one that spoke the most to me. Never hurts to remind ourselves of what our God feels each day - afterall, His pain is always greater than ours.
